About
Upon completion of this exam, the student will be equipped with the knowledge and understanding to undertake medical pedicures safely and competently. This course is assessed in two parts. Theory online here (80% pass mark), and practical at home, where you submit a number of videos for assessment by our tutors. Once both parts are completed, you will be awarded a Certificate in Medical Pedicure at level 3. Candidates can book to come into the UCHSc college clinics to gain practical training and clinical experience. This is separate from this theory course. They can also upgrade and take a full Foot Health Practitioner Diploma Level 4. If you can't attend our clinic in Glasgow, you can attend practical lessons via live Zoom classes and count towards your clinical hours. You must then submit a portfolio of evidence of case studies with photos, witness testimonies, and video evidence etc. If you require any more information, please contact us. This course is mapped to level 3 for approximately 15 credits = 150 hours, including learning, anatomy, physiology, pathology, professional studies, infection control, etc. It is advised that you complete a first aid certificate, which includes CPR, to practice professionally.
