Upon completion of this exam, the student will be equipped with the knowledge and understanding of the foot and its general health and foot care principles and practice. They will be able to apply this knowledge and understanding practically using basic foot care treatment procedures and techniques safely and competently whilst being reflective and cognisant of CPD. Completion of this course will make the candidate eligible to undertake such practical training as necessary to become a professional foot health practitioner. Candidates can book to come into the UCHSc college clinics to gain practical training and clinical experience. This is separate from this theory course. If you can't attend our clinic in Glasgow, you can attend practical lessons via live Zoom classes and count towards your clinical hours. You must then submit a portfolio of evidence of case studies with photos, witness testimonies, and video evidence etc. The pass mark for this element is 80%. This course is mapped to level 4 for approximately 50 credits = 500 hours including learning, anatomy, physiology, pathology, professional studies, infection control, etc. It is advised that you complete a first aid certificate, which includes CPR, to practice professionally. (This is now included with this course as standard). Please note that this course is delivered through Udemy. Once you have enrolled here at UCHSc you will be sent a link to enrol for FREE. Then, simply complete your exam once you have finished. The pass mark is set to 80%. Practicals are undertaken either via Live Zoom, or face-to-face in our Glasgow college. Students need to submit case studies and videos to be assessed by tutors and develop a portfolio of evidence. (The portfolio of evidence can be used at a later date to Recognise Prior Learning RPL towards a RQF). Upgrade to Diploma via research project (5000 words).
