About
If you wish to apply for registration and licensure with the Society of Naturopathic and Naprapathic Doctors. You can do that here. In this first stage, you will complete the form and submit it with all your supporting documentation. An assessor will be appointed to check your form and documentation. If necessary, they will apply credits for recognition of prior learning and assign you to an appropriate level of the register. Occasionally, we may ask for more information. This could be details of courses or training. So that we make the correct judgment. Sometimes we may also ask you to complete an online theory test or even a practical assessment. This can all be done online via live Zoom if necessary. Once our assessor has completed their assessment, they will assign you to an appropriate level on the register. You can accept this or appeal. If you appeal, you must clearly state why and provide any additional information. This is why it is important to provide as much information when you first apply. If you have any questions, you can ask your assessor for help at any time during this process. They are there to support you. This will not jeopardise your application, and you will not be disadvantaged at any point, because the more information you provide to them, the better. This helps them make the correct decision, and provides help to you the first time around, and it saves time. We have 5 general levels in our register. Some are subdivided as well. Levels 1 - 5. Levels 1, 2 & 3 are subdivided into 3 categories each according to academic, practical and clinical experience. Example: Level 1a = to approximately 400 hrs of study. Of which approximately 100 are practical. Level 1b = to approximately 800 hrs of study. of which approximately 200 are practical. Level 1 (Full Level) = to approximately 1200 hrs of study, which is equal to one full year of study at a university undergraduate level. Of which 250 - 300 hrs are practical. As so on.
